Wallin and Me

This was on Wallin's blog...
a madeup story about the two of us to be posted on my own blog

It was my second semester at Biola and for some reason Wallin had been spreading rumours about me and I had really...well to put it simply, I was fed up with it. I decided to confront her in the caf. You see the caf was my domain at Biola and where all of my loyal subjects dwelt. I knew if something had to be done it should be done
here. I knew she would be coming in at any minute and I was waiting...complete with crew.
I slowly began to walk towards as she slid her card, but then I noticed something different. She had her crew! She must have heard what was going to go down. Blast!! I had pumped myself up so much I knew it still needed to be done. I strode up to her and in my loudest caf voice, which is pretty dang loud, proclaimed, "So Wallin...why you all up in my buzinezz?!" As I said this I puffed my chest while spitting on her white keds. What came next I did not even expect...before I knew it I was face down on an orphaned crouton and discarded bit of bacon bit in excrutiating pain. (note: we were next to the salad bar) Her crew then surrounded me and began to kick me repeatedly. The strange thing is that they were all silent the entire time. The only sound was the thud thud thud of their tiny alpha feet kicking my body savagely. Thankfully my crew was there in a second and the rumble was on...oh it was on my friends.
We had decided to just bring chains and pipes and thankfully her crew had done the same. I was able to regain my feet and Wallin and I went toe to toe...straight up fisticuffs style. I felt like Patrick Swayze in The Outsiders...Wallin had been my old football buddy...well not really...I began to yell, "Stay Golden." This fired up my crew incredibly and they bravely fought back the Alphas. While there sketchers sketched out of there I stood up on the salad bar, covered in macaroni salad and screamed, "Freedom!" Wallin never showed herself again in the Caf but was given dominion over the Common Grounds.

Lost

Well...I was trying to think of something that I would like to write about on a weekly basis.
Well I love the show Lost and I like to throw out my theories to whomever wants to hear.
So here goes.
Last night...
Big night...the others are for sure part of the Dharma deailo. Not that big of a shocker...the makeup and such...that was pretty interesting.
I thought one interesting thing was the whole idea of the word GOOD being used so much.
Claire used it...Ethan used it...The Others have used it before...
Also the Others seem to target "good" people alot. We have to wonder about everyone's definition of GOOD and how that will mean different things to different people.
Are the Others actually good because they are trying to accomplish something good even though they may appear evil with some of their actions. Sort of an ends justify the means. Compare to our view of the Allied powers in WWII. We view the allies as the "good" guys but what about the sheer destruction of entire cities in Germany and Japan...I am not talking about the a-bomb in japan but the firebombings of major cities that produced more casualties than the bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I divulge but perhaps we see the Others from a tainted perspective...They are doing some evil but there may be a purpose to it all.
However perhaps the Others sees themselves as GOOD because they are carrying out experiements that in their mind are GOOD (akin to US Army use of LSD on troops, or Nazi medical experiements) but are in fact evil.
that is that...

super bowl XL PLUS 1

well the day after the big game. My mind now turns to the Raiders coach search which i hope begins and ends with the Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Wisenhunt...is it spelled with an "h" whatever. Also the draft...I love the NFL Draft. I love everything about the preperation for it. The college season, the college bowl season, the senior bowl, the pro days, the combine...
anyway thank goodness for the NFL Network...
I do like basketball...hope the Lakers don't self destruct like last year...i dont think Phil will let them. I want to be home so badly right now...anyway I will go now...
bye for now everyone

Messy Desk

Hello...it has been awhile. I guess I have a few people who actually check in on this from time to time. Well Keith made a comment yesterday. So update from me. I sit here at work...looking at my messy desk...at my appt board for today...and realize I need to get going on work, but I dont want to right now. I would love so much more to be at home and take care of Chrystel (she is sick right now) and play with Autumn. Autumn is going to be 9 months in 14 days. I can not wait until she turns one year, then I wont have to refer to her age in months. Money is tight with the mortgage, but life is good. I love my family and my life. I enjoy the teaching part of my job but the paperwork not so much. Independent study is so much different than just teaching within the classroom. Funny thing is that I am thinking about going into school administration in the future...anyway...I was watching something on tv last night that I was going to comment on and now I forgot.

29 and lovin' it

Well here I sit at my shared computer at my new job. They still have not given me a computer but I dont mind, it is alot closer to home. The students are better and I actually have coworkers. Independent Study is a mixed bag. You get the high achieving home schoolers and the *insert other*. I went to a conference yesterday for Independent Study...the highlight was the Bass, popcorn and conversation I had with the bartender at the Raddison hotel bar afterwards. For some reason I like conferences...I love how it makes me feel... like I am a professional... brings a pride to my job...
I turned 29 this month...Chrystel turns 28 next month. Autumn turns 8 months. My dad turns 56 in January. My mom catches up with him in July. I guess that about covers the birthdays. Oh a dog just walked in...a little jack russell...pretty cute little guy....he just left. I believe he belongs to the people that own the ranch that adjoins the campus here. I should get back to grading or take a walk outside...i always love it here the day after a rain...
I forgot to post this...i will now...nearly a month later

Another win...another monday

Well it is 11:19 right now. I just checked my fantasy football teams. 2 wins, 1 loss out of my three leagues. Still in first in all of them. The raiders won...last week I got to see them beat the Bills in Oakland, great game. Tomorrow is Halloween. I am going to be David Brent, though I am not going anywhere. I believe Autumn is going to be Little Bo-Peep. We will have to work on her outfit a bit.
The new job is going well, though it is taking a little bit to get everything straightened out at the old job. Still have a bunch of things to do in and on the house and the property. It seems the weekend goes way too fast, especially when you have guests. That is about it but Here are 10 things that i think i think.
10) Football is a real jim-dandy.
9a) I like Pinot Noir...Sideways helped but my tastebuds concur. (sidenote: still love Beer)
9b) That movie as do others makes me want to write and work on something...Alan still interested in working with you on that one script. Gloyd you are supposed to help as well.
8) I love watching tv on dvd, but feel strange about spending money on something that was originally free.
7) Autumn would be a great vet, she loves animals.
6) I am going to look awful tomorrow in my drivers license picture, need a shave and a haircut...i would for sure pay two bits for both.
5) I am looking forward to the Cash film coming out in November...
4) 29 is todays 24.
3) I want window coverings/a new bed for my birthday.
2) Chrystel's kitchen sink cookies are the best.
1a) I have too many films and books that I need to digest.
1b) Thank goodness for my folks.
Well goodnite one and all.

Autumn Blagg, Randy Moss and Clara Allen

Well poor little Autumn was not feeling very good last night or the night before. We believe it is allergies so Chrystel went on a crusade against the dust bunnnies and other such allergy causing fiends in the new house. It is amazing how dirty a new house can get....also when you dont have carpet, dirt really can't hide. We have laminate flooring. Anyway...hopefully the little sucker is feeling better. I hate it when she is all sniffly and congested. She woke up while we were watching the tevoed Invasion. I know, I can't believe I am still watching it as well...no payoff as of yet...if it is about aliens...we need to see some aliens. I went upstairs and got her and held her....she fell asleep cuddled against me. I dont think there is a better feeling in the world.
Randy Moss...of course you aren't going to play this weekend. My dad and I get tickets months in advance and if you are to miss any game of course make it Blagg Day Out. It will still be great but...the one marquee player they have...he gets injured the game before. Makes me sad.
Clara Allen is the name of our new kitty. I adopted her here at Coulterville. She just made it in time because I will no longer be here...the interview i wrote about a while back went well...i have the position over in mariposa now. Well that is enough for now...i have some things to do to get ready for the new person.

Spelling?

Can I spell? I guess I can't if you take a look at my previous post. Ghastly.
More Monday.
